Quick and Simple: Banana-Berry Smoothie Popsicle

Days when I have the house to myself usually consist of a lot of dancing or experiments in the kitchen, sometimes they happen at the same time. Well, I got off early from work Friday and instead of going to the zoo solo dolo, I decided to go home and relax(yes, long week).

I made a quick smoothie for myself and decided to freeze the rest in a small container with a plastic spoon (gotta get creative with what you've got!) a few hours later, the little baby was ready. So good!

Ingredients:
1 Banana
Raspberries
Strawberries
1 cup Blue Bell Strawberry Ice Cream
1 cup Ice

Instructions:
1. Cup up all fruits into smaller portions
2. Add to blender
3. Add ice cream
4. Blend ingredients
5. Add ice
6. Pour into a cup or
7. Pour into Popsicle molds
8. Let freeze for a couple of hours
9. Enjoy!

What I Ate:

We order from here so much that I ended up getting a free box from Tiffany herself ( we are practically best friends, I'm totally kidding about the BFF part). Their cookies are fresh and warm, homemade style. They are delivered in a neat white box with a blue ribbon to match the logo. My favorite cookies are the White Chocolate Chip and Almond, can't put them down. They also have;

SWEET- Houston, TX

Sweet
Restaurant:
SWEET

Location:
801 Town and Country Boulevard, Suite A120
Houston, TX

Hours:
Mon-Th: 8-9
Fri: 8-11
Sat: 9-11
Sun: 11-9

Ambiance:
SWEET is located across the Grub Burger Bar and Urban Outfitters at the Houston City Centre. The establishment is the epitome of cool and calm with well-placed displays of their sweet treats and an extensive menu that includes teas, coffees and gluten-free options. The staff is friendly, efficient and more than willing to help you narrow down your options should you be struggling to resist the urge to purchase one of everything. Parking close to the bakery can be kind of tricky depending on the time of day, so I suggest parking in the Lifetime Athletic parking garage. Yes, parking is free.

What I ate:
Once I found out that it was National Macaroon Day and the bakery was selling macaroons for a dollar each, I hightailed my behind down to SWEET after work without a second thought. I made a b-line for the glass display that held the tiny treats that were perfectly organized by flavor, and ordered 4 macaroons: one espresso, one honey lavender, one salted caramel and one vanilla bean. Of course, this decision was made after minutes of over-thinking each flavor and drooling over the tower of macaroons that almost seemed to be taunting me throughout my deliberation. Like ya. We get it. You’re all delicious.

The macaroons were absolutely lovely. They were moist, sweet without being overwhelming and the perfect amount of desert to satisfy my sweet tooth. I will definitely be going back soon!
Sweet Houston, I love Sweet, Macaroons
