First Taste, Brunch at Tony Mandola

I was recently invited to try the new brunch menu at Tony Mandola's Gulf Coast Kitchen. Tony Mandolas is a New Orleans style Oyster Bar and Seafood House, with an Italian flair. Known for its fresh Texas Gulf Seafood - shrimp, oysters, fish, and home-made pastas, red beans and rice, Mama's Gumbo, and Mama's Bourbon Bread Pudding. Tony Mandola's quickly grew popularity since its time in River Oaks as "Tony Mandola's Blue Oyster Bar", 30+ years ago. This popularity prompted the closing of the oyster bar and the opening of Tony Mandola's Gulf Coast Kitchen on Waugh Drive.

The weather is starting to get nicer, and the sun seems to be shining more and more. That means we'll all be spending some time outside on the weekends enjoying food and drinks. There happens to always be some sort of debate on which breakfast dish is the best one, so I wanted to take this time to honor and showcase some really delicious and creative versions of this amazing dish that is loved all over the world, look below for some suggestions and don't forget to comment your favorite that isn't listed.

First Taste, Brunch at Maggiano's Little Italy

Brunch has grown into one of the most popular past times for foodies across the country, bringing people together over food and drink. Last weekend I was invited to a first look and taste of Maggiano's Little Italy's newest addition, brunch.  Maggiano's felt it was only right to provide a brunch menu to their guests nationwide. Their new menu with feature classic brunch dishes with a little Italian flair. The team invited me, along with some of my peers to try their new menu items.

When in LA, get breakfast at The Waffle. I had the honor of touring LA and some surrounding cities with my sisters as part of my #CityTour for the year. After waking up one Saturday morning, on Golden Globes weekend, we walked from our hotel down to The Waffle on Hollywood Boulevard. The eatery has a casual, neighborhood diner feel, and serves deliciously fresh foods that are sure to make your taste buds dance.

What I Ate:
I ordered hot chocolote, which came with whipped cream and a little chocolate drizzle fo' shizzle! To eat..after weighing my options between the Red Velvet Waffle and French Toast Breakfast, I settled for three slices of French toast soaked in vanillas custard and topped with fruit and a side of potato hash, eggs and veggie sausage. So good and so filling, the french toast and hot chocolate were all of it, everything.
