Ambiance:
I had the pleasure of attending a screening at Davis St. which prompted me to come back for the full experience. Davis St. is an American restaurant located on the ground floor of Mosaic on Hermann Park. The restaurant is breathtaking, with classic modern decor, with lime green accents all over the venue. The environment is very clean and welcoming; their staff is courteous and helpful. What added to my experience along with the look was the live music. I went on a Friday, and there was a band playing music while guests enjoyed some food and conversation. Davis St. chef Jovani King was recently awarded in 3 categories at the Houston Lifestock Show Best Bites Competition. He took home: The trailblazing Grand Champion Award, Reserve Grand Champion best in show and people's choice, for his "Crispy Thai Shrimp" dish.

What I Ate:
I had the Cheyenne Maple Glazed Duck, topped with crispy fried onion strings and served with a side of Cantaloupe. I didn't know the dish would be served as it was. It was more of a Chicken and Waffle with a twist. And since it was dinner time, I had to slow my intake. Overall, the dish was "blah," I wouldn't order it again.
